This is who I am...this is what I was created to do. I can think of no higher calling than to bring glory to the Lord of Heaven and Earth, and point others to His throne. I am a worship leader. My name is Grant.

I've never had any reason to start a blog before. Never thought my life could offer any profound interest to the world. But as I was organizing files on my computer, I came across various writings I've had about worship. So there it is...a reason for Grant to blog. So here are some random thoughts about worship and life...through the eyes of a worship leader....

I see worship as response and submission to who God is. Psalm 95:6 “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” The psalmist tells us to literally bow down, even kneel down in submission, as a response to who God is…”the Lord our maker”. It’s funny how little music and singing has to do with this, but yet when we hear someone say “I love to worship” we immediately know they are referring to singing to God. I view music as the most common and shared way, as humans, of communicating our emotions. And I see music and singing as merely a vessel to communicating these emotions of our heart to God. Music is merely a tool (no doubt our most common tool) for worship.

stay tuned...
